Power lifting is a strength sport that resembles the sport of Olympic weightlifting, as both disciplines involve lifting weights in three attempts in bench press, dead-lift, and possibly squats and curls.

Body Builders, Fitness (Bikini) and Figure

bikinifitnessBody Builders – Male and Female will lift heavier weights in an effort to gain more muscle mass, and get as much muscle definition as possible.

Figure Athletes – Female athletes who want a softer more toned, these athletes will lift lighter weights, with more repetitions to acquire leaner and longer muscles, and more cardio. Figure athletes need a confident attitude.

Fitness (Bikini) Athletes - Female athletes who want a softer more toned, these athletes will lift lighter weights, with more repetitions to acquire leaner and longer muscles, and more cardio. Physique guidelines for fitness competitions typically suggest a small amount of muscular mass; clear separations between muscle groups (but, no visible striations); and, leanness. The routine round requires a physically active stage performance; most competitors attempt aerobic, dance, and/or gymnastic routines.
